Kevin Deawne Martin, of Tucson, Arizona, was sentenced to 180 months in prison for transportation and shipping of child pornography and possession of child pornography.



Texas Couple Sentenced for Enslaving Nigerian Woman for More Than Eight Years

An Arlington, Texas couple was sentenced for forcing a Nigerian widow to perform domestic labor for them for more than eight years. Emmanuel Nnaji, a naturalized citizen of the United States was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and Ngozi Ihechere Nnaji, a citizen of Nigeria, was sentenced to nine years in prison.



Joran van der Sloot Charged with Fraud and Extortion in Alabama

Joran van der Sloot, a citizen of the Netherlands, was charged in Birmingham, Alabama with wire fraud and extortion offenses in connection with his soliciting money in May on promises he would reveal the location of Natalee Holloway's remains in Aruba and circumstances of her death.



Owners of Employment Agencies and Restaurants Indicted in Georgia

Five individuals were charged by a federal grand jury in Atlanta, Georgia in three separate indictments for conspiring to induce undocumented aliens to enter and remain in the United States by providing them with employment, predominantly at Chinese restaurants, all for commercial gain.



Maryland Man Pleads Guilty to Structuring Cash Transactions

William Madonna, of Perry Hall, Maryland, a former employee of a fundraising business that defrauded several Fraternal Orders of Police, pled guilty to structuring $142,000 in currency transactions to avoid bank reporting requirements.



Two Minnesota Residents Charged with Assault

Two Red Lake, Minnesota residents were charged in federal court for unrelated assaults. In the first case, Vanessa Kay Cobenais was charged with one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. In the second case, Soloman Francis Jourdain was charged with one count of aggravated assault with intent to commit murder.



Former South Carolina Deputy Gets 400 Years in Connection with Murder of Family

Former Florence County (South Carolina) Sheriff's Office Deputy Timothy James Poole was sentenced to 400 years in prison on mail and wire fraud charges in connection with the double murders of his adoptive mother, Linda Poole Hilton, and step-father, William Henry Hilton, Jr., execution-style residence in order to obtain money from their trusts and estates.



Virginia Teacher Sentenced for Producing Child Pornography with Student

A former science teacher at Cedar Lee Middle School, Scott Christopher Howe, of Fauquier County, Virginia, was sentenced to 210 months in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for producing child pornography by filming himself engaging in sexual activity with a student.



Two Members of Wide-Ranging Mortgage Fraud Conspiracy Sentenced in Virginia

Lourdes Rojas Almanza, of Falls Church, Virginia, was sentenced to 77 months in prison and Litcia Linares, also of Falls Church, was sentenced to 27 months in prison for participating in a $24 million mortgage fraud conspiracy that resulted in losses of more than $9 million to more than 20 banks and lenders.

Arizona Border Patrol Agent Pleads Guilty to Civil Rights Violation

U.S. Border Patrol Agent Eduardo Moreno pled guilty in Tucson, Arizona to assaulting a Mexican national who was in his custody at the U.S. Border Patrol Processing Center in Nogales. Moreno admitted that while escorting the victim at the center, he kicked the victim, struck him in the stomach with a baton, threw him down to ground, and punched him, all without any legitimate law enforcement reason to use force.

The Wanted by FBI New York page has been updated to include fugitive Alexandr Sergeyevich Bobnev, who was indicted in the Southern District of New York on November 26, 2008, on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. Bobnev was indicted for his alleged participation in a money laundering scheme involving unauthorized access to the accounts of a major provider of investment services.
