Chambers, of Aurora, Ohio, was charged with one count of bribery for allegedly extorting $2,000 in bribes from an unnamed Cleveland business, which was cooperating with the FBI, in exchange for the performance of his official duties as a City of Cleveland Fire Inspector.

An investigation has been opened regarding the assault of a Border Patrol agent in Texas while he was responding to a group of suspected illegal aliens being smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico. Several subjects threw rocks at the agent, and when they continued to do so despite the agent's verbal commands to stop, the agent fired his service weapon, striking one subject who later died.
