FBI Conducts Joint Investigation into Assault of Border Patrol Agent in Texas

An investigation has been opened regarding the assault of a Border Patrol agent in Texas while he was responding to a group of suspected illegal aliens being smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico. Several subjects threw rocks at the agent, and when they continued to do so despite the agent's verbal commands to stop, the agent fired his service weapon, striking one subject who later died.
Georgia Man Pleads Guilty to Robbing 23 Banks in Southeastern U.S.

Cecil Stephen Haire, of Douglas, Georgia, dubbed the "Limping Bandit" by investigators, pled guilty in Charleston, South Carolina to 23 counts of bank robbery. Beginning in June 2006, Haire traveled across the Southeast committing robberies in Georgia Florida, Alabama, and South Carolina.
Texas Man Guilty of Commodities Fraud in Foreign Currency Trading Ponzi Scheme

Ray M. White, of Mansfield, Texas, pled guilty to one count of commodities fraud, in connection with his perpetration of a nearly $11 million foreign currency trading Ponzi scheme.
