Former Hidalgo County Commissioner Sylvia Sue Handy-Espronceda, was sentenced in McAllen, Texas to 30 months in prison, fined, and ordered to pay restitution to the IRS following her conviction on charges of conspiracy to harbor an illegal alien and making a false statement on her 2005 tax return regarding a child care credit.
Guilty Verdicts Returned in Texas Internet Gambling Conspiracy

Phillip Dell Clark, of Big Spring, Texas; Daniel Patrick Davis, of Treasure Island, Florida; and Cecil D. Stephens, of Burnet, Texas, were convicted for their roles in a wide-scale Internet gambling conspiracy. The defendants agreed to a forfeiture money judgment of $640,000 as well as forfeiture of several bank accounts containing about $80,000 cash and several vehicles.

Two Maryland TTP Bloods Gang Members Sentenced for Racketeering Activities

Anthony Fleming, of Baltimore, Maryland, was sentenced to life in prison and Tavon Mouzone, of Baltimore County, was sentenced to 20 years in prison to be served concurrently to the life sentence he is currently serving in the state, for participating in a racketeering conspiracy through the Tree Top Piru Bloods (TTP Bloods), which engaged in narcotics trafficking and robbery. It was also found that each defendant committed a murder in relation to their TTP activities.
Two Wisconsin Men Sentenced in Tribal Drug Investigation

Louis Belisle and his brother, Brandon Belisle, both residents of Webster, Wisconsin, were each sentenced to 21 months in prison without parole after pleading guilty to distributing crack cocaine on St. Croix tribal lands. This brings the number of defendants sentenced as a result of this investigation to 24.

Harris Poulikidis, of Overland Park, Kansas, was sentenced in Kansas City, Missouri to two years and nine months in federal prison without parole for actions taken as part of a bank fraud scheme that forced several low-income homeowners into bankruptcy by saddling them with more debt than they were able to repay.

Cousins Zubair Ahmed, of North Chicago, Illinois, and Khaleel Ahmed, of Chicago, were sentenced in Cleveland, Ohio to 10 years in prison and eight years and four months in prison, respectively, for unlawfully and knowingly conspiring to provide material support and resources to terrorists, knowing they were to be used in preparation for and in carrying out a conspiracy to kill and maim individuals outside the United States, including members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
New York Man Sentenced on Drug and Firearms Charges

Jesse Yepez, of Bellerose, New York, was convicted of possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of controlled substances, selling a stolen firearm, transferring a firearm knowing it will be used to commit a drug trafficking crime, conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, in excess of 50 grams of cocaine, and conspiring to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, less than 50 kilograms of marijuana.
