Former Proprietary Trader Pleads Guilty in New York to Insider Trading Charges

David Plate, of New York, New York, a former proprietary trader at The Schottenfeld Group LLC, pled guilty to conspiracy and securities fraud charges arising from an insider trading scheme in which he executed trades in the securities of 3Com Corporation and Axcan Pharma, Inc.



Maryland Man Sentenced for Role in Sex Trafficking Conspiracy Involving Minors

Lloyd Mack Royal, III, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, was sentenced to 37 years in prison followed by 10 years supervised release for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking; sex trafficking of a minor; sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence; conspiracy to distribute drugs; and distribution of drugs to persons under 21, related to a scheme to prostitute three minor females.



California Man Sentenced to Lengthy Term on Child Pornography Charge

William Alonzo Jones, of Keyes, California, was sentenced to 11 years and three months for receipt of child pornography.



FBI and Uganda Police Seek Assistance Identifying 7/11 Bombers

The FBI and Uganda police are seeking assistance in identifying individuals connected to the suicide bombings in Uganda on July 11, 2010. More than 70 people were killed when bombs exploded at venues where people had gathered to the World Cup final.



Virginia Man Sentenced for Receipt of Child Pornography

Marvin Villacorta, of Newport News, Virginia, was sentenced to 100 months in prison for receipt of child pornography. Villacorta was also sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release following his incarceration.



Wisconsin Man Sentenced for Defrauding Investors

Romaine A. Quinn, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 14 months in prison for using investor money to gamble at a luxury resort and casino in Las Vegas.



Illinois Man Sentenced on Child Pornography Charges

Kevin T. Dunigan, of Cahokia, Illinois, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to knowingly receiving child pornography and knowingly possessing child pornography.



Texas Man Convicted in Connection with Internet Gold Scam

James Maceo Ramey, of Houston, Texas, was convicted of 25 counts of bankruptcy fraud and mail fraud arising from a an Internet scam to sell gold in which victims lost in excess of $300,000.



Illinois Man Pleads Guilty in Ohio to Threatening to Kill His Attorney

Daniel Samuel Jason, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, admitted that he mailed a threatening letter to the attorney representing him in pursuing post-conviction relief for a stalking conviction in Johnson County, Iowa.



Wisconsin Men Plead Guilty to Minnesota Bank Robbery

Andrew James Larson, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Derek William Lombard, of Cumberland, Wisconsin, pled guilty to committing the April 2, 2010 robbery of a TCF Bank branch in Maplewood, Minnesota.



South Dakota Man Pleads Guilty to Abusive Sexual Contact with Young Girl

Ralph Charles Bear Killer, of Allen, South Dakota, pled guilty to engaging in sexual contact with a girl who had not reached the age of 12 years. The young girl was spending the night with the defendant's child when the acts occurred.



South Carolina Woman Pleads Guilty to Bank Fraud Charges

Jill Diane Brennan, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud in connection with certifying verification of deposit forms on false loan packages valued at $1,364,500.00.



South Carolina Woman Pleads Guilty to Bank Fraud and Identify Theft

Victoria Thomas, of Florence, South Carolina, pled guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. As a result of Thomas' activities, Wachovia Bank lost over $22,000.00.

Texas Architect Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child Pornography

John Robert Dossey, a Houston-area architect, pled guilty to possession of child pornography, admitting that he took sexually charged photographs of 16-year-old girls, some of which are pornographic under federal law.
