Daniel Cowart, of Bells, Tennessee, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to murder dozens of African-Americans, including then-Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama, because of their race.

Rena Marie Brown, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was sentenced to three years of probation relating to fraudulent applications for financial assistance that she submitted to the American Red Cross after Hurricane Katrina.

Christy Alexander, of Hammond, Louisiana, pled guilty to one count of mail fraud relating to fraudulent applications for financial assistance that she submitted to the American Red Cross following the hurricanes of 2005.

Clyde "Peter" Hall was sentenced in Manhattan federal court to 20 years in prison for defrauding investors of millions of dollars by fraudulently promising them access to high-yield investment programs and bank instruments with purported high rates of return. Hall, who decades ago played football for the New York Giants, was also sentenced on separate charges of bankruptcy fraud.
