Texas Man Guilty of Making Bomb Threats

Brandon Forsyth, of Texarkana, Texas, pled guitly to making a false bomb threat to Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. As a result, patients were evacuated twice from the hospital, and several law enforcement agencies, including the bomb squad, had to report to the scene.



Four Plead Guilty in Iowa to Sex Trafficking Charges

Merrideth June Crane-Horton, Edwin Nathan Horton, Katherine Heredia, and Ramon D. Heredia, each pled guilty in Council Bluffs, Iowa to their involvment in a conspiracy to commit sex trafficking in which a 15-year-old girl was enticed into the conspiracy and then coerced to perform commercial sex acts on at least two occasions.

Maryland Man Pleads Guilty to Distributing Child Pornography

Brian Furches, of Manchester, Maryland, pled guilty to distribution of child pornography. Furches provided an undercover law enforcement officer, whom he believed to be a collector of child pornography, access to his file share program folders, which contained over 900,000 images and/or video files of child pornography available for others to download.

Two Sentenced in Ohio in Connection with Producing Counterfeit Driver's Licenses

French Doctor Charged in New York in Insider Trading Securities Fraud Scheme

Yves Benhamou, a citizen and resident of France, was charged in New York with engaging in an insider trading scheme in which he used his dual roles as an adviser on a clinical drug trial and as a private, paid consultant to provide material, nonpublic information about the drug trial's progress to a portfolio manager of a hedge fund group. The hedge fund group then used that information to avoid approximately $30 million in losses.



Fraudsters Behind Multi-Million-Dollar Advance-Fee Scheme Convicted in New York

Jeremy Guzewicz, of Parkville, Maryland, pled guilty to sexual exploitation of a child to produce child pornography. Guzewicz introduced himself online to a 12-year-old girl living in Massachusetts and soon thereafter instructed the girl to send him sexually explicit pictures of herself.



Collar-Bomb Defendant Convicted in Pennsylvania

Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong was convicted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania of conspiracy to commit armed bank robbery, armed bank robbery in which death resulted, and use of a destructive device in furtherance of a crime of violence.
