Dennis Burke, of West Virginia, was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for transportation of sexually explicit images of minors.



Inmate Pleads Guilty to Killing Fellow Inmate in Kansas

Michael White, currently an inmate at the federal prison in Florence, Colorado, pled guilty to using a homemade knife to stab a fellow inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas. The victim died from the injuries he sustained.



Maryland Man Sentenced for Producing Pornography Using Neighborhood Child

Russell Glenn Burnett, of Fruitland, Maryland, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by lifetime supervised release, for producing child pornography. Burnett enticed a young neighborhood girl into his home and produced pornographic pictures and a video of her.



Two Convicted in Massachusetts Physical Therapy Health Care Fraud Scheme

Patrick J. Gelin and Micheline Lamarre, the president and an employee of a Brockton physical therapy clinic, respectively, were convicted of participating in a scheme to commit health care fraud for their roles in submitting false claims to insurance companies for non-existent physical therapy treatment.



Minnesota Man Sentenced for Bank Robbery

Ananias Taylor, Jr., of Minneapolis, Minnesota, was sentenced to 63 months in prison for robbing a TCF Bank branch in St. Louis Park.



Georgia Bank Robber Sentenced

Jason Hurt was sentenced to nearly 15 years in prison for his commission of the April 13, 2010 robbery of a Bank of America branch in Macon, Georgia.



Army Major Guilty of Making False Statements About Currency Smuggled from Iraq

U.S. Army Major Charles E. Sublett, of Huntsville, Alabama, pled guilty in Memphis, Tennessee to making false statements to a federal agency related to his shipment of more than $100,000 in U.S. currency from Iraq to the United States.



New Jersey Man Guilty of Possessing Hundreds of Images of Child Pornography

James Artfitch, of Manville, New Jersey, pled guilty to possession of child pornography, admitting he had more than 600 criminal images.



Arkansas Real Estate Developer Indicted for Fraud

Real estate developer Roger Stephen Clary, of Little Rock, Arkansas, was charged with four counts of wire fraud and one count of mail fraud.

Thomas F. True, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Gunther Blancke, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, were indicted in Columbia, South Carolina on charges of conspiracy to commit and attempted extortion by wrongful use of force, violence, and fear.



Florida Woman Charged in Connection with Murder of Husband at New York Hotel

Fort Lauderdale, Florida resident Narcisa Veliz Novak and three other individuals were indicted in Manhattan federal court on charges stemming from the killing of Ben Novak at a hotel in Rye Brook, New York.
