Deandre Lornell Brown, of Sacramento, California, was convicted of conspiracy; sex trafficking of children and using force, fraud, or coercion; and participating in a venture that engaged in sex trafficking of children.



New York Woman Pleads Guilty in Fraud Scheme Claiming to Help Foster Children

Liliana Trafficante, of New York City, pled guilty in Manhattan federal court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with an approximately five-year scheme to obtain money by claiming that it was for a project intended to help foster children.



Ten Charged in Connecticut for Participating in Mortgage Fraud Conspiracy

A federal grand jury in New Haven, Connecticut returned a second superseding indictment charging a total of 10 individuals with various offenses related to their alleged participation in a mortgage fraud conspiracy.



Campaign Manager Sentenced in Connecticut for Embezzlement, Tax Evasion

Michael Ian Sohn, of Fairfield, Connecticut, was sentenced to 37 months in prison for embezzling funds campaign funds from the Christopher Shays for Congress Committee and for failing to pay federal income taxes over a four-year period.



Assistant to Top Disney Executive Pleads Guilty to Role in Insider Trading Scheme

Bonnie J. Hoxie, of Los Angeles, California, pled guilty in New York to fraud charges related to her participation in an insider trading scheme in which Hoxie, an assistant to a top executive at the Walt Disney Company, and a coconspirator obtained confidential inside information, including about Disney's quarterly earnings and attempted to sell the information to buyers seeking to trade on it.
